Based in Brisbane
Shawn (Guochong) Liang is a Brisbane-based cinematographer and director studying the Master of Cinematic Arts at Griffith Film School.
This year he has worked in the camera department across four MoCA Studio productions, as 1st AC on Blurr, The World According to Arthur and Level 5, and 2nd AC on 12 Minutes. He is now Director of Photography on Ever-lucid, currently in pre-production.
He wrote, directed and shot Season, a live-action short film. Alongside his studies he is researching how AI tools are changing the cost and craft of film production. He aims to work as both a cinematographer and a director.
